One of the best ways to partake of the recommended daily doses of fruit is to eat them in the form of a fruit salad. You can mix virtually any fruit you like, they are sure to combine, or you can go for families of fruits that you know go well together, if only because they grow in the same region.
I kind of like to mix types of fruits, like adding a bit of tropical fruits and adding pears and apples that are so typical of my country, and then just throwing in bunches of strawberries or any other berry, for colour and visual interest. It's also a good way to get children to eat fruit, and in my case, it is the best way to make sure my husband does get some fresh fruit inside him. And if you're doing an adult version, try seasoning it with some port or moscatel, for added sweetness and moisture.
