Halloween

A Halloween dinner table does not have to be all around the pumpkin theme. It can be an elegant, romantic affair, perfectly set to woo your lover.

The use of black, dark blues, deep red and white helps to infuse the ambiance with the mood of the date, a dark, gothic affair, as if your dinner partner was either Dracula or Countess Bathóry...

Certain elements like a witch's hat or a scrying vampiric fairy add a bit of humour to a night that tends to be lighthearted - even though it's original meaning, the samnháin, is a lot deeper than most wuld even know.

And because images work so much better than words in this case, let me then leave you with the pictures of a romantic and very gothic Halloween tablescape, while Nosferatu and the Bloody Countess are picking Count Dracula from school...
